If you've been playing ARC Raiders for a while, there's a good chance the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key is already sitting in your stash next to a pile of other ARC Raiders Items you keep meaning to use someday. That's part of what makes this key so odd. It belongs to Blue Gate, but a lot of players don't even find it there. More often, it turns up while you're rummaging through indoor containers on other maps, especially in the Dam Battlegrounds. Administrative offices, apartment-style buildings, desk drawers, filing cabinets, that sort of thing. Ruby Residence is a solid place to check, and the big Research and Administration complex has been kind to me too. You're usually just hunting for basic loot, then suddenly you've got a rare one-use key in your bag.
Where the key actually goes
Once you've got it, the destination is Pilgrim's Peak in the far northeast part of Blue Gate. Head for the huge Communication Tower at the north edge of the map. A lot of people waste time circling the structure at ground level, expecting a normal entrance. There isn't one. The locked door is down below, in the basement section under the tower. The safest route I've found is simple. First, get up to the upper platform. After that, take the zipline down into the lower base area. It's quicker, and it cuts down the chance of getting pinned by patrols while you poke around outside trying to figure out where the entrance is.
What's inside the room
Under the tower's metal frame, you'll see the locked metal door pretty fast. Walk up, use the key, and that's it, the key is gone for good. No second run, no saving it for later, no sharing it around. Inside, you're not getting some giant bunker with endless hallways. It's a compact loot room, which is honestly part of the appeal. You can clear it fast. Expect server racks, resource crates, weapon boxes, and loose gear spread around the room. It's one of those spots that feels efficient. You get in, sweep everything in under a minute if your inventory management isn't a mess, and start thinking about your exit before the area gets hot.
When it's worth using
The loot can swing either way, so don't expect a jackpot every single time. Some runs feel great. Some don't. Still, most experienced players try to save this key for Night Raids, because the boosted reward potential makes the trip feel a lot better. Timing matters more than people think. Since this key has only one real use in the game, carrying it around casually is a bad habit. If you get dropped on a random run, that's a painful loss for no reason. Keep it in your stash until you're planning a route that actually includes Pilgrim's Peak, then build the run around the tower and a clean extraction.
How most players should handle it
The smart move is to treat the Blue Gate Communication Tower Key like a planned objective, not a lucky trinket you drag from match to match. Wait until you've got the map, the route, and enough space to make the room worth looting properly. Go in knowing exactly where you're headed and how you're getting out. That's really the difference between wasting the key and getting solid value from it. And if you're already sorting out your stash or comparing gear options, it makes sense to keep an eye on cheap ARC Raiders Items as part of that prep, especially before committing to a riskier Blue Gate run.
